Engagements

  • Sylvia Puchovsky '97 to Andrew Messier '97 in October 2001. The couple plans a September 2002 wedding.
  • Matt Dowling '97 to Misa Billa '98 in June 2001. They are planning a September 22, 2002 wedding in Rome, Italy.
  • Deb Foley '97 to Stephen McManus. The couple plans to marry in the fall of 2002.

Marriages

  • Jason Lauterbach '97 to Kris-Anna Compson on July 6, 2002 in New Hampshire. The couple resides in Washington State.
  • Pete Mosher '97 to Lynne Allyson Dauphinais on June 16, 2000.

Births

  • Melissa (Allen) Leahy and husband Matt welcomed their first child, a son.
  • Pete Mosher '97 and wife Lynne welcomed their first child, Gabrielle Lynne on December 11, 2000.

Deaths

  • ECE Professor Denise Nicoletti died in a car accident on July 22, 2002. More information, including where to send donations is available in the Memorial section of the WPI Web site.

Relocations & Jobs

  • Myles Walton completed his Ph.D. in aerospace at MIT in June 2002. He is one of 13 co-authors of the book "Lean Enterprise Value: Insights from MIT's Lean Aerospace Initiative."
  • Matt Dowling completed his master's degree in biology/biotechnology at WPI in 1998 and has just completed his fourth year of medical school at the University of California in San Diego.
  • Deb Foley now lives in Chicago.
  • Capitola Lau has relocated to Illinois, where she is working on her MBA at Lakeforest Graduate School of Management in the Chicago area, and is working for Motorola, Inc.
  • Jason Lauterbach graduated from aircraft commander upgrade training in Altus, Oklahoma in March 2002. During Operation Enduring Freedom, he spent three months in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. He is currently stationed at Fairfield AFB in Spokane, Washington, where he flies KC-135s.
  • Pete Mosher works for 170 Systems.
  • Jen Roberge completed her master's degree in environmental engineering at WPI in October 1999.
  • Jami Walsh completed her master's degree in environmental engineering at WPI in May 1999. She is currently employed by Prism Environmental in Westborough, Mass.
