Biomedical equipment, Computer-Aided Design, Finite Element Analysis, and biomechanical research are my specialties. At Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), I earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, focusing in the area of design. Afterwards, I worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), working on the CAD software Pro/Engineer and Engineering Analysis software Pro/Mechanica. While working for PTC, I moved from Massachusetts to California, and completed a Master's Degree in Biomechanical Engineering at Stanford University where I had the opportunity to work with a company designing tools for implanting a prosthesis. Working as a Biomedical Engineer at the Veterans Affairs Research R&D center in Palo Alto, I studied the mechanical properties of the knee using finite element analysis. At Siemens Oncology Care Systems I had the opportunity to integrate the hardware and software components including the latest collimator and Image Positioning System I now have 8 years of professional engineering experience.
